Herbaceous perennial growing 60-150 cm tall. Features rough-textured, lance-shaped leaves and arching plumes of small yellow flowers blooming August-October. Adaptable to various soils and full sun to partial shade. Spreads by rhizomes, forming colonies. Attracts numerous pollinators and beneficial insects. Suitable for meadows, naturalized areas, and wildlife gardens. Can spread aggressively in ideal conditions. Native to eastern North America.
