Feeling fall, thinking of spring
Fall is just around the corner and I’m busy with last-minute requests for plantings.
–Here’s a public notice!–
If you’re thinking of doing something in the spring, please get in touch now so I can make a (complementary) site visit.
If you leave it until spring, you’ll be at the back of the line. And of course I can’t visit after the snow flies.
–End of public notice!–
Wishing you a sunny Labour Day weekend.
Simon
P.S. A gratuitous picture of some Wild Bergamot below.
If you want a Grounded garden…
At some point, the wrong landscape stops being something you’ll put up with.
If you’re ready to replace it with something that feels like here, I’d be glad to talk.

Making it feel more like ‘here’
I spend a lot of time looking at what’s already growing around the property. It’s what the land wants to become. And it’s a clue to what to plant. Read more.

Now Available: The Unfinished Cottage Landscape
I’ve written a short book about my way of landscaping.
The Unfinished Cottage Landscape is about what happens when you stop fighting the land and start noticing what it’s already doing.
It’s for anyone who has ever sighed getting out of the car on a Friday evening, looking at what still needs to be done. And for anyone who suspects there might be a different way.
Click the button below to read more and order the book. Price is $15 with free shipping.
